The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology would like to welcome Ms. Jennifer Keefer.

Jennifer KeeferMeet Ms. Jennifer (Jenn) Stingelin Keefer:

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, Minor in Forest Science, teaching certifications in Agricultural and Environmental Science, and a Master’s of Science in Forest Resources from the Pennsylvania State University (PSU).  Prior to my advising career, I worked at Penn State for twelve years as a National Park Service contractor, Assistant Data Manager and Invasive Species Specialist. I also taught field dendrology here at PSU as well as sustainability and conservation topics at the Penn State Conservation Leadership School.  In addition to working with students and helping them succeed in and out of the classroom, my professional interests include invasive species ecology and management, dendrology, taxonomy, and botanical nomenclature.  On weekends you’ll find me in my native plant garden, hiking and camping on Pennsylvania State Forest land, and catching-up on episodes of shows like Naked and Afraid, Ultimate Survival Alaska, and The Cosmos.  I currently reside in Oak Hall with my husband Matt, son Rowan, black lab Lemmon, and two gray cats, Tucson and Bisbee.
