Henrici Wins The Undergraduate Thesis Award!
The Penn State University Libraries, partnering with the Schreyer Honor's College, held their Annual Competition for the Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis. This competition aims to find the best thesis submitted by an undergraduate.
Interested students had to submit an application, provide support from a Penn State faculty member and write a 250-word statement demonstrating their use of the library and information resources related to their thesis. After review of all the applications, three finalists were selected to present a 30-minute public oral defense on his or her thesis.
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major, Ryan Henrici, was awarded first place for his thesis titled, "Structural and Biochemical Characterization of Chromatin Enzymes." Ryan performed his research under the direction of research faculty member, Song Tan.
